Obstetrical Management of Partial Uterine Prolapse in a Mare

Uterine Prolapse is termed as the eversion of uterus or casting ‘’wethers’’ calf bed. Upon epidural anesthesia, washed potassium permanganate solution then hypertonic solution. After 10 minutes, warm normal saline. Using Cetrimide cream lubricant an antiseptic, reduced repositioned. No Buhner’s suture applied. Mare has received 40 IU oxytocin involution process begin. Systemic antibiotics anti-inflammatory drugs administered five days. lavage done three days saline povidone-iodine aid uterine clearance. consequent days, mare had improved cervix closed discharge. The uneventful recovery.
